Kaufland does not pay out straight after the sale. It releases the revenue of each order after a fixed period, and from then on you transfer the money yourself.
Two periods, and which one applies to you
Kaufland releases your revenue 14 days after delivery (with a tracking number) or 21 days after the order is marked as shipped (without one). The gap is not always seven days: without tracking the period starts when you mark the order as shipped, not at delivery.
Take a parcel delivered on a Monday. With tracking, its revenue is released two weeks later. If the same order had no tracking number and you marked it as shipped three days before that Monday, it is released four days after the tracked one. If you ship a lot without tracking, more of your money is waiting at Kaufland than needs to be.
What pauses the period
An open ticket on the order. While the ticket is open there is no release date, even if the 14 days have passed. If less has been released than you expected, check for an open ticket first.
So it pays to close tickets once they are answered. An answered ticket that nobody closes delays the release.
What this means for planning
Plan with what is released in a month, and keep that apart from the revenue of the same month. In a growing shop the two figures are far apart, because the faster you grow, the more money is still inside the release period. Sellgrip shows both and names the date each order is due for release, under Payouts and eight weeks ahead in the Cash flow forecast.
You can work out a single date without an account in the payout date calculator.
