Selling on Kaufland involves two fees: a monthly base fee and a commission on every sale. The base fee is due before you have sold anything. With the promotion code SELLGRIP26, new sellers from any country pay no base fee for their first three months. The promotion runs up to and including 30 November 2026.
This article covers what the base fee normally costs, how much the code saves you, what you need to register, and where registrations tend to get stuck. Every Kaufland rule comes from Kaufland’s own pages, read on 30 September 2026; the sources are listed at the end.
The promotion at a glance
- Code: SELLGRIP26
- What you get: your first three months without the Kaufland base fee
- Who can use it: any new Kaufland seller, from any country
- How: enter the code in the voucher code field when you register
- From when: the three months start when you register; you do not have to be live or upload products first
- Valid: up to and including 30 November 2026
Commission on each sale still applies; the code only covers the monthly base fee. The details are also on our SELLGRIP26 page.
What the base fee normally costs
Kaufland has two subscription plans. Either one covers every Kaufland marketplace: you pay one base fee whether you sell on Kaufland.de only or also on Kaufland.fr, Kaufland.it, Kaufland.pl and the others. Kaufland charges it in the currency of the sales channel you choose for it.
| Plan | Base fee per month, plus VAT | Saving with SELLGRIP26 (3 months) |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | €39.95 (990 Kč / 175 zł) | €119.85 (2,970 Kč / 525 zł) |
| Plus | €59.95 (1,500 Kč / 260 zł) | €179.85 (4,500 Kč / 780 zł) |
The sums: 3 × €39.95 = €119.85 and 3 × €59.95 = €179.85, both excluding VAT. According to the Conditions page, only Plus includes a link to your online shop and €30 of credit a month for Sponsored Product Ads; everything else is the same in both plans. You can switch plans monthly in the Seller Portal under Shop Settings › Subscription. An upgrade takes effect immediately, a downgrade four weeks after you request it. In Kaufland’s own words: “There are no hidden fees or long contract periods.”
Commission depends on the category: 7% to 16% on most marketplaces, with a separate, mostly lower column for Kaufland.pl. It is calculated on the gross sales price including delivery charges, and VAT is added on top of the commission. Look up your category in Kaufland commission by category; all costs are on Kaufland fees 2026.
What you need to register
According to the Seller University, the registration asks for:
- a valid email address and a password for the Seller Portal;
- a seller pseudonym that customers will see, the number of items you plan to list and your categories;
- whether you act as a natural person, a partnership or a legal entity, with your tax details; the valid VAT ID of your company headquarters is mandatory;
- an identity document, your business registration and a commercial register excerpt no older than four weeks, each file at most 4 MB;
- contact details for customer service and Seller Support, and an authorised representative if you sell CE-marked products made outside the EU.
If everything is complete, Kaufland activates the account within three working days. Keep in mind that each sales channel also needs a tax registration: an EU seller enters an OSS registration or a local VAT ID, a seller from outside the EU needs a country-specific tax registration for each Kaufland country.
Which documents fit your legal form, and which EPR numbers each country needs, is in Kaufland seller registration: the documents you need.
Step by step
- Get the documents above ready, above all a recent commercial register excerpt.
- Open Kaufland’s seller registration and choose Basic or Plus.
- Enter SELLGRIP26 in the voucher code field during registration.
- Fill in all mandatory fields, upload the documents and complete the registration.
- Once your account is activated, click the link in the email and choose your primary sales channel. You can add more channels later at no extra cost; see Kaufland Global Marketplace.
- Complete the onboarding: shipping groups, offers, tax information, legal texts, company details and EPR, returns address, warehouse, go live.
Common mistakes
- Registering without the code. The promotion is tied to registering with the code. Enter it in the voucher code field while you register, not later.
- Registering and then waiting. The three months count from your registration, not from your first sale. You get the most out of the code if you actually start selling within those three months, so have your products and prices ready before you register.
- Starting too late. The code is valid until 30 November 2026. A fresh commercial register excerpt can take time to obtain, and the review takes up to three working days. Leave yourself a margin.
- Company details that do not match. Kaufland checks your VAT ID in VIES and with the German Federal Central Tax Office. The details in your legal notice and in the Seller Portal must match your tax registration exactly. If they do not, Kaufland may hide your offers automatically.
- Pricing without commission. Three months without a base fee do not change the commission. Work out every price with commission and shipping, for example in the profit calculator.
- Offers going live unchecked. If you do not click “Publish now” yourself, your offers go live automatically within 24 hours of completing the onboarding. Prices and stock should be right by then.
Where Sellgrip fits in
Sellgrip is software for Kaufland sellers: orders, returns, tickets, profit per product and payouts on one screen, connected through the Kaufland Seller API. It is free for up to 100 products in one Kaufland country. You can try Business, which covers all nine countries, free for 14 days. The plans are on Pricing. You do not need Sellgrip to use the Kaufland code.
